Our 4 days of celebrating started off with Christmas Eve at my parents house. My dad and dh had said at Thanksgiving that they didn’t want turkey or ham for Christmas dinner, so we had rib-eye steaks and oh were they were good!
The next morning, Katie awoke to presents from us and Santa. I was wondering why she really didn’t seem into opening her presents until around 9:30am she told me that her tummy hurt and that she was going to get sick. Poor little thing was so sick and couldn’t even keep water down. I don’t know what was worse for her, telling her we weren’t going to go to Chad’s side for more presents or getting sick every half hour. After a short name around 1pm, all of 10 minutes.. she was up and at em and ready to go. Oh to be so resilient to bugs…lol After the morning that she had, we played it low key and took down all the decorations.
Chad had to work the next day and I cleaned ALL day to get ready for Katie’s party the next day. Her theme was rainbows and leave it to me to choose two crafts that were a little hard and a lot messy, but I think they all had fun.
Now that all of our festivities are over, it is back to the normal! I kinda like this time of year to tell you the truth, well all of it except the cold. Snow is fine, it is the cold that I can’t take. So, I will be blogging some more of the warm weather sessions that I haven’t gotten up here yet and day dream of those warm days that are hopefully coming sooner rather than later!
Off to finish up some orders and get the monster ready for bed! Have a wonderful night!
